Editing Script Types

A script type defines the category of a script and associates it with a file extension. You can update a script type's name, file extension, and description at any time.

Editing a script type requires the Maintain Scripts privilege (or All Administration Functions or All User Interface Functions).

To edit a script type, complete the following steps:

1. In the navigation pane, select Types under Scripts. The Script Types editor opens.
2. Select the script type you want to edit.
3. Select Edit on the toolbar. The Edit Script Type dialog opens.
4. Modify the Name, File Extension, and/or Description fields as needed.
5. Select Save.

Result: The script type is updated and the Script Types list refreshes to reflect the changes.
