Deleting Global Properties

If the need arises to delete a global property, there are several required procedures.

To delete a global property:

Remove the Global Property from the Daily Tables

  1. Double-click on Daily Maintenance under the Operation topic.
  2. In the Daily frame:
  3. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the date for the schedule.
  4. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the schedule.
  5. Click on the job.
  6. Click on the Edit Daily button in the Maintenance frame at the bottom-right side of the screen.
  7. Replace, in the Command Line text box, any tokens representing the property to delete with a hardcoded value or another token.
  8. Click Save     icon Save on the Job Daily toolbar.
  9. Click on the Events tab.
  10. Click on the OpCon event in the Events list box.
  11. Click the Edit button in the Events frame. The Events Definition Wizard displays.
  12. Replace any tokens in the OpCon event representing the property to delete with a hardcoded value or another token.
  13. Click the OK button to save the changes.
  14. Repeat the Steps 5 - 13 for all jobs using the token.
  15. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Daily tab) to close the Job Daily screen.
  16. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Daily Maintenance tab) to close the Daily Maintenance screen.

Remove the Global Property from the Master Tables

  1. Double-click on Daily Maintenance under the Operation topic. The Daily Maintenance screen displays.
  2. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the date for the schedule.
  3. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the schedule.
  4. Click on the job.
  5. Click on the Edit Master button in the Maintenance frame at the bottom-right side of the screen.
  6. Replace, in the Command Line text box, any tokens representing the property to delete with a hard coded value or another token.
  7. Click Save     icon Save on the Job Master toolbar.
  8. Click on the Events tab.
  9. Click on the OpCon event containing the token.
  10. Click the Edit button in the Events frame. The Event Definition Wizard displays.
  11. Replace any tokens in the OpCon event representing the property to delete with a hard coded value or another token.
  12. Click the OK button to save the changes.
  13. Repeat the Steps 5 - 12 for all jobs using the token.
  14. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Master tab) to close the Job Master screen.
  15. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Daily Maintenance tab) to close the Daily Maintenance screen.

Delete the Global Property

  1. Double-click on Global Properties under the Administration topic. The Global Properties screen displays.
  2. Select the global property in the Select Global Property drop-down list.
  3. Click Remove     iconRemove on the Global Properties toolbar.
  4. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to discard the deletion.
  5. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Global Properties tab) to close the Global Properties screen. :::
