Adding Threshold/Resource Dependencies

Setting Job-Related Threshold/Resource Dependencies

To set a dependency:

Double-click on Job Master under the Administration topic. The Job Master screen displays.

Select the schedule in the Schedule drop-down list.

Select the job in the Job drop-down list.

Click on the Dependencies tab in the Job Properties frame.

Click on the Threshold/Resource Dependency tab.

Select the Job Related checkbox.

Click the Add button. The Threshold/Resource Dependency dialog displays.

Select a threshold/resource in the Threshold/Resource drop-down list.

Select a threshold/resource in the Threshold/Resource drop-down list.

a. For a Threshold: Select an operator and enter a value in the Value field. Then, proceed to Step 10. b. For a Resource: Enter a value in the Value field. Alternatively, you can select the All checkbox to require the job to consume all resources when it runs. Unselect the All checkbox to re-enable the Value field. Then, proceed to Step 10.

Click the OK button to save the changes or the Cancel button to discard the changes.

Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Master tab) to close the Job Master screen.

Setting Frequency-Related Threshold/Resource Dependencies

To set a dependency:

Double-click on Job Master under the Administration topic. The Job Master screen displays.

Select the schedule in the Schedule drop-down list.

Select the job in the Job drop-down list.

Click on the Dependencies tab in the Job Properties frame.

Click on the Threshold/Resource Dependency tab.

Select the Frequency Related checkbox.

Select the frequency in the Frequency List.

Click the Add button. The Threshold/Resource Dependency dialog displays.

Select a threshold/resource in the Threshold/Resource drop-down list.

Do one of the following:

a. For a Threshold: Select an operator and enter a value in the Value field. Then, proceed to Step 11. b. For a Resource: Enter a value in the Value field. Alternatively, you can select the All checkbox to require the job to consume all resources when it runs. Unselect the All checkbox to re-enable the Value field. Then, proceed to Step 11.

Select a frequency in the Frequency drop-down list.

Click the OK button to save the changes or the Cancel button to discard the changes.

Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Master tab) to close the Job Master screen. :::
