Editing Machines
Use Enterprise Manager to edit a machine (agent) definition. Because the Machines editor is read-only while an agent is communicating with SAM, you must stop communication before saving changes and restart it afterward.
Required privilege: Maintain Machines

Notes
- The Machines editor is read-only while the agent is communicating with SAM. If the machine is currently enabled or in limited status, Stop Communication is available; Start Communication becomes available after communication is stopped.
- A socket number must be between 1024 and 32767.
- A NetCom Name is required and cannot exceed 128 characters.
- Setting Max Concurrent Jobs (Server) to
0lets the agent control the maximum number of concurrent jobs.
