Navigation Views

Navigation Views in Enterprise Manager provide visual representations that support the editors. Examples include Workflow Designer, Daily Maintenance, Daily List, Matrix Chart, Gantt Chart, PERT View, Bar Chart, Pie Chart, Workload Chart, and Machine Status.

Any number of views can be open simultaneously, but only one view is active at a time. Unlike editors, you can drag views out of the workspace frame to a separate area such as a second monitor.

Opening a Navigation View

To open a Navigation View, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Navigation Panel, select the arrow next to a navigation topic to expand it.
  2. Select the Navigation View you want to open (for example, Workflow Designer).
  3. (Optional) Select and drag the view tab onto the tab bar if it is not already attached.
  4. Repeat step 2 to open additional views.

Result: The selected view opens in the workspace.

Changing Navigation View Tab Order

To reorder view tabs, select and drag a Navigation View tab to the new position on the tab bar, then release.

note

A stack symbol appears as you drag the view over other view tabs.

Arranging Navigation Views

To arrange views side by side or in a split layout, complete the following steps:

  1. Select and drag a Navigation View tab in the direction where you want it to display (left, right, top, or bottom).
  2. Release the tab when the stack symbol changes to an arrow.

Result: The view drops into place in the selected position.

Moving a Navigation View Outside the Workspace

To move a view outside the Enterprise Manager workspace (for example, to a second monitor), complete the following steps:

  1. Select and drag the Navigation View tab outside the workspace frame.
  2. Release the tab in the preferred location.

Alternatively, right-click the Navigation View tab, select Detached, then drag the view to the preferred location.

Returning a Navigation View to the Workspace

To return a detached view to the workspace, complete the following steps:

  • Select and drag the Navigation View tab back to the preferred location inside the workspace.

Alternatively, right-click the tab and select Detached again to re-attach it to the workspace.
