Deleting Resources

If the need arises to delete a Resource, there are several required procedures.

To delete a resource:

Remove the Resource from the Daily Tables

  1. Double-click on the Daily Maintenance.
  2. In the Daily frame:
  3. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the date for the schedule.
  4. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the schedule.
  5. Click on the job.
  6. Click on the Edit Daily button in the Maintenance frame at the bottom-right side of the screen.
  7. Click on the Threshold/Resource Update tab.
  8. Click on the threshold/resource update to delete and click the Remove button.
  9. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
  10. Repeat Steps 5 - 10 for all jobs updating the resource.
  11. Click on the Dependencies tab.
  12. Click on the Threshold/Resource Dependency tab.
  13. Click on the threshold/resource dependency to delete and click the Remove button.
  14. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
  15. Repeat Steps 13 and 14 for all jobs with the threshold/resource dependency.
  16. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Daily tab) to close the Job Daily screen.

Remove the Resource from the Master Tables

In the Daily Maintenance screen:

  1. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the date for the schedule.
  2. Click on the Expandarrow to expand the schedule.
  3. Click on the job.
  4. Click on the Edit Master button in the Maintenance frame at the bottom-right side of the screen.
  5. Click on the Threshold/Resource Update tab.
  6. Click on the threshold/resource update to delete and click the Remove button.
  7. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
  8. Repeat Steps 17 - 23 for all jobs updating the resource.
  9. Click on the Dependencies tab.
  10. Click on the Threshold/Resource Dependency tab.
  11. Click on the threshold/resource dependency to delete and click the Remove button.
  12. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
  13. Repeat Steps 27 and 28 for all jobs with the Threshold/Resource Dependency.
  14. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Master tab) to close the Job Master screen.

Delete the Resource

  1. Double-click on Resources under the Administration topic. The Resources screen displays.
  2. Select the resource in the Select Resource drop-down list.
  3. Click Remove     iconRemove on the Resources toolbar.
  4. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
  5. Repeat Steps 2 - 4 for all jobs with the resource to delete.
  6. Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Resources tab) to close the Resources screen.
