Deleting Resources
If the need arises to delete a Resource, there are several required procedures.
To delete a resource:
Remove the Resource from the Daily Tables
- Double-click on the Daily Maintenance.
- In the Daily frame:
- Click on the arrow to expand the date for the schedule.
- Click on the arrow to expand the schedule.
- Click on the job.
- Click on the Edit Daily button in the Maintenance frame at the bottom-right side of the screen.
- Click on the Threshold/Resource Update tab.
- Click on the threshold/resource update to delete and click the Remove button.
- Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
- Repeat Steps 5 - 10 for all jobs updating the resource.
- Click on the Dependencies tab.
- Click on the Threshold/Resource Dependency tab.
- Click on the threshold/resource dependency to delete and click the Remove button.
- Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
- Repeat Steps 13 and 14 for all jobs with the threshold/resource dependency.
- Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Daily tab) to close the Job Daily screen.
Remove the Resource from the Master Tables
In the Daily Maintenance screen:
- Click on the arrow to expand the date for the schedule.
- Click on the arrow to expand the schedule.
- Click on the job.
- Click on the Edit Master button in the Maintenance frame at the bottom-right side of the screen.
- Click on the Threshold/Resource Update tab.
- Click on the threshold/resource update to delete and click the Remove button.
- Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
- Repeat Steps 17 - 23 for all jobs updating the resource.
- Click on the Dependencies tab.
- Click on the Threshold/Resource Dependency tab.
- Click on the threshold/resource dependency to delete and click the Remove button.
- Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
- Repeat Steps 27 and 28 for all jobs with the Threshold/Resource Dependency.
- Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Job Master tab) to close the Job Master screen.
Delete the Resource
- Double-click on Resources under the Administration topic. The Resources screen displays.
- Select the resource in the Select Resource drop-down list.
- Click Remove on the Resources toolbar.
- Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion or click the No button to cancel the deletion.
- Repeat Steps 2 - 4 for all jobs with the resource to delete.
- Click Close ☒ (to the right of the Resources tab) to close the Resources screen.
