Setting Preferences for Workflow Designer and PERT

To set the preferences:

  1. Launch the Enterprise Manager application.
  2. Use menu path: EnterpriseManager > Preferences. The Preferences dialog displays.
  3. Click on the arrow (Expand Arrow ) next to Enterprise Manager in the Preferences tree to expand the drop-down list.
  4. Click on Workflow Designer/PERT. The Workflow Designer/Pert settings display to the right.
  5. (Optional) Enter the value that defines the amount of Spacing between nodes (the default is set to 20).
  6. (Optional) Enter the value that defines the maximum number of Threshold/Resource dependencies to display before automatically turning off the display (the default is set to 300). Set the value to zero (0) to display unlimited dependencies.
  7. (Optional) Select Top to Bottom or Left to Right from the Default layout drop-down list.
  8. (Optional) Click on the color button for the dependency type (e.g., Requires, After, Excludes, and Conflict). The Color dialog displays.
  9. (Optional) Select the color for the dependency type and click OK.
  10. Select the Show frequency names checkbox to show the frequency names in the job boxes. This option is turned off by default.
  11. Select the Show Job status description checkbox to show the job status name in the job boxes. This option is turned on by default.
  12. Select the Analyze circular dependencies checkbox to check for circular dependencies. This option is turned off by default.
  13. Select the Do not draw PERT on date selection checkbox to avoid drawing the PERT on dates. This option is turned off by default.
  14. Click Apply to save the changes in this dialog.
  15. Click OK to save the changes and close the Preferences dialog.
