Using Self Service

The Self-Service link in the Enterprise Manager Navigation Panel opens the Self-Service page in Solution Manager. Self Service is a licensed OpCon module that lets designated users trigger OpCon workflows without IT involvement.

Prerequisites

Before you can access Self-Service from Enterprise Manager, confirm:

  • Your OpCon license includes the Self Service feature.
  • Your OpCon user account has the Self-Service option enabled. A system administrator enables this per user in the Licenses section of the user's account in Enterprise Manager.
  • Your role includes the View Service Requests function privilege.

If you are missing any of these, contact your system administrator.

Open Self Service from Enterprise Manager

To open Self-Service from Enterprise Manager, complete the following steps:

  1. Open Enterprise Manager.
  2. In the Navigation Panel, expand Solution Manager.
  3. Select Self-Service.

Result: The Self-Service page opens in Solution Manager.

The Solution Manager topic only appears in the Navigation Panel when the Solution Manager URL General Server Option is configured. For more information, see Managing Solution Manager.
