What Is It?

Use this procedure to edit Service Requests in Solution Manager. A Service Request encapsulates a predefined automation workflow — such as a schedule build, job submission, or event — that operators can trigger using a simple form without direct access to schedule definitions.

Required Privileges

To edit a service request, your role must have the Maintain Service Request function privilege.

Editing a Service Request

To edit a service request, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Self Service.
  2. Select the Edit icon on the Service Request button you want to modify.
  3. Modify the existing information or settings as needed.
  4. Select Save.

Result: The updated service request is saved and available immediately.

Q: Do edits to service requests take effect immediately?

Yes. Changes saved to a service request in Self Service take effect immediately for any subsequent submissions.
